South Dakota Partners Inc. is partnering with students from the Deuel Middle School on a statewide student video competition called “2016 What’s So Cool About Manufacturing”.
Students will be filming various parts of our manufacturing processes and interviewing the staff at South Dakota Partners during the month of November. The students then create a video detailing what they think is so cool about manufacturing. Video entries are due in January 2017. The award ceremony is the middle of February.
One benefit of this project is that the time and effort the students spend researching and producing this film will open their eyes to the world of opportunities in innovative manufacturing environments. South Dakota Partners is sponsoring the team from Deuel School and working with their representative, Michael Gohring. The contest entries will be judged by the South Dakota Manufacturing and Technology Solutions team.
We are excited for students to tour the company and watch the robotic automation systems we developed for the electrode line and the surface mount technology and selective soldering line in the electronics area.
